Your Future Depends on It."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-weight: regular; font-size: 14px; color: #333333;\">I sat there on my favorite couch at home peering into this funky colored orange book, delighted to finally have it in my hands.\u00a0 Though it was a typical morning, me up early, great coffee and study time before the &#8220;real day&#8221; had begun.\u00a0 It was an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Ctrl-Alt-Delete-Business-Depends\/dp\/1455523305\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1378688583&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=ctrl+alt+delete\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Ctrl Alt Delete<\/em><\/a>, the new, soon-to-be-released business book by one of my new favorite authors, bloggers and thinkers: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twistimage.com\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mitch Joel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-weight: regular; font-size: 14px; color: #333333;\">Mitch Joel was a gent who I had grown to admire over the previous few years, I was introduced to him by the Internet&#8230; Shocked right?\u00a0 I was on Amazon looking for some new reading material by some up and comers and I read about Mitch Joel (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mitchjoel\" target=\"_blank\">@MitchJoel<\/a>) and took him to be a little of Seth Godin (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ThisIsSethsBlog\" target=\"_blank\">@ThisisSethsBlog<\/a>) and a little of the business owners that I know and appreciate, due to the common sense and logic displayed in the table of contents. In a word, it was relevant to me.\u00a0 So I bought it, yes, hardcover for me, yes I like electronically-formatted books, et al, mainly for travel, but I still enjoy paper books for my morning read.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-weight: regular; font-size: 14px; color: #333333;\">OK, how did I come to get this ARC?\u00a0 One day, while reading Mitch&#8217;s post of the morning, I saw an invite that he published. It basically said, hey, if you buy <em>Ctrl Alt Delete<\/em> today, in a pre-purchase from Amazon kind of way, you will receive the ARC for your efforts.\u00a0 So again, I did.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.airtight.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Six-Pix-Autographs-from-Mitch-Joel-with-Gitomer-Team-12-4-12.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-3607\" alt=\"Six Pix Autographs from Mitch Joel with Gitomer Team 12-4-12\" src=\"http:\/\/www.airtight.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Six-Pix-Autographs-from-Mitch-Joel-with-Gitomer-Team-12-4-12.jpg\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-weight: regular; font-size: 14px; color: #333333;\">Shortly before this posting by Mitch, I was fortunate enough to be able to meet him, talk a bit, and watch him work.\u00a0 Mitch and my friend Jeffrey Gitomer (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gitomer\" target=\"_blank\">@Gitomer<\/a>), had invited me over to watch and listen to this webinar he and this &#8220;great guy from Canada&#8221; were going to be recording.\u00a0 I said to Gitomer, &#8220;Hmmm, great guy from Canada huh? Would it happen to be Mitch Joel?&#8221;\u00a0 Gitomer said, &#8220;Yes,&#8221; and I went on to explain that I followed and enjoyed Mitch&#8217;s work, so I was psyched to get to go to the Gitomer offices and see this go down.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-weight: regular; font-size: 14px; color: #333333;\">The winter day arrived and I was able to meet Mitch and listened in as he and Jeffrey talked and discussed several topics\u00a0on the webinart, both were spot on.\u00a0 Mitch showed his hand just a bit and discussed some of the core work within his up-coming book, <em>Ctrl Alt Delete<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-weight: regular; font-size: 14px; color: #333333;\">OK, back to the couch, cracking it open and zooming in on the Table of Contents page, I had a flash back to <em>Six Pixels<\/em> Table of Contents.\u00a0 Good, clear and succinct\u00a0chapters.\u00a0 Digging into the prose over the next couple of mornings, I really was drawn to the One Screen World and the Embracing the Next chapters.\u00a0 This book is filled with real-world examples sprinkled in with a usable &#8220;road-map,&#8221; if you will, about what lies ahead.\u00a0 Not a pie-in-the-sky kind of way, but in the way of:\u00a0 Look at this point, and that point, by analyzing Mitch&#8217;s words, the road-map parts really jump out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-weight: regular; font-size: 14px; color: #333333;\">I highly encourage anyone that wants to be relevant in the coming age to buy and study this book.
